How to Choose the Perfect Fighting Shorts for Your Size and Style

Choosing the right fighting shorts can make a difference in your performance and comfort when sparring or competing in martial arts. This guide will help you find the perfect fighting shorts based on size, style, and length to match your individual needs.

How to Choose the Perfect Fighting Shorts for Your Size and Style

Understand the Types of Fighting Shorts Available.

There are two main types of fighting shorts available in the market. The first type is compression style, which is ideal for athletes who prefer a tighter and supportive fit. The second type is hybrid style, which has looser legs designed for more flexibility and comfort. Depending on your body type, budget and preference each type might be suitable for you.

Consider the Material of Your Fighting Short.

Different materials used for fighting shorts have varying levels of durability and breathability. Generally speaking, more expensive options will last longer but not necessarily be the most comfortable. Common fabrics include polyester, microfiber, and cotton. A good rule of thumb is to test out a few fabric samples before buying any shorts to ensure that you have selected the most comfortable material for you.

Polyester is a lightweight fabric that is extremely breathable. It offers excellent protection and durability, but can be less comfortable than other fabric options. Microfiber feels softer and more comfortable against the skin but lacks some of the protective properties of polyester. Cotton is generally thicker and offers great protection but isn’t as breathable as the other materials. Whichever material you choose, make sure it’s comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time during your training sessions or fights.

Take Measurements to Find Your Ideal Fit and Length.

It isn’t enough to guess your size when it comes to fighting shorts. To ensure proper fit, you should measure both your waist and leg circumference in order to choose the right size and length. Waist measurement should be taken at the smallest part of your stomach, while leg muscles can be measured around their largest point. With these measurements in hand, you can use a sizing chart to select the perfect fit for you.

When it comes to length, there are several options. If you want a shorter pair of shorts, try going with an MMA style that stops just above the knee. If you don’t mind going a bit longer, you may be able to find board-style shorts with cuffs at the bottom. These types of fighting shorts offer lightweight coverage and additional protection for your legs when sparring or competing against an opponent. Once you find a pair in the size and length you’re looking for, make sure to look for features that provide comfort and allow freedom of movement such as side slits, butterfly stretch panels in the crotch area. Many of these features will add extra cost, but they are well worth it when it comes time to compete in a fight.

Match Your Style Preferences with Options Available in Stores.

After you have determined your size, the next step is to determine the style that fits your personality. Most fighting shorts available in stores feature either a drawstring or elastic waistband for additional comfort and better fit. Also, there is a broad array of prints and colors to choose from – from classic camouflage prints to flashy colors like pink or neon green. Consider your preferences when selecting the perfect shorts for you!

Although shopping for shorts may seem like a straightforward process, there are still multiple considerations to keep in mind when selecting the right fighting shorts. The most important factor is comfort; look for shorts that fit your body without restricting you and give light cushioning while you spar or train. Furthermore, make sure they are tailored specifically with MMA or Muay Thai fighters in mind – such as extra stitching and reinforced details to prevent tears during grappling! With many options available, finding the perfect pair has never been easier.

Consider Affordable and Unique Designs for a Perfect Look.

If you’re looking for something unique and affordable, there are many options to choose from. From tank top shorts to tribal print designs, there is a great selection of fighting shorts available online or in specialty stores. You can also find options featuring compression technology to keep your body temperature regulated throughout the bout. Ensure you consider the material, construction and durability when searching for the perfect fighting shorts for you!

No matter what style of fighting shorts you prefer, make sure these key factors are covered. Quality is important because you need to have shorts that won’t tear or come apart after a few hits. Durability is also essential, as the material should be sturdy enough to withstand vigorous movement and sweat without ripping. Look for materials such as nylon/spandex blend, synthetic leather and/or quick-drying fabric. This way, you’ll have the perfect pair of fighting shorts designed for maximum comfort and protection during your match!

Where to buy the best fighting shorts?

“Searching for the perfect boxing equipment can be a tough fight, but with so many options on the market, you’re bound to land a knock-out punch. I’ve tried out some of the top brands and I’m here to give you the low-down on what’s worth your hard-earned cash.

First up, Elite Sports.

I have to say, I was impressed with the quality of their gloves. They felt like they were molded to fit my hand, and the padding was just enough to protect my knuckles without sacrificing mobility. The only downside is that they were a bit flashy for my taste, but that’s a small price to pay for comfort and protection.

Next,

Forza Sports.

Their hand wraps were a game-changer for me. They were super stretchy and easy to wrap, which saved me a ton of time before training sessions. They also did an excellent job of keeping my hands supported without feeling too restrictive. A bit overpriced though!

RDX Sports

had some great gear, but I was a bit disappointed with their headgear. It was comfortable to wear, but it didn’t provide as much coverage as I would have liked. They are good for basic protection, but if you’re looking for something more heavy-duty, you might want to keep searching.

KBands and Diamond MMA

both had some pretty impressive products. KBands had some great resistance bands that helped me improve my speed and power during training. Diamond MMA’s compression shorts were a lifesaver for me when I was recovering from a groin injury. They provided just the right amount of support and compression.

Everlast

is a classic brand, and they definitely live up to their reputation. Their heavy bag gloves were like pillows for my hands, and their punching bag was built to last. The only downside is that they can be a bit on the expensive side.

Powerhandz and MMA Overload

had some unique and innovative products. Powerhandz had weighted gloves that helped me improve my hand speed and power, and MMA Overload had some great grappling dummies that helped me improve my ground game.

The MMA Locker and FITE

were great for online shopping and had a wide range of products to choose from. Their website and customer service were user-friendly and easy to navigate. The only downside is that their shipping can be a bit slow.

So, there you have it.

All of these brands have their strengths and weaknesses, but overall, I was impressed with the quality and variety of products that are available on the market. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, there’s something out there for you.

Just make sure to shop around and try out different products to find what works best for you.

  1. I would buy again. I use the shorts for jujitsu and running. The material is thin and that doesn’t bother me as long as they last. I dont see them ripping or anything like that.
